For Ruck (BA ’72, LLB ’77), a prominent lawyer and human rights activist, the values of building community and striving for equality were instilled in him at an early age.

As a Mi’kmaw woman, it was important for Sophia to be on her territory and to learn Mi'kmaq-specific Indigenous laws from Mi'kmaq professors.

Kyla paired her background in science with her law degree to graduate with a Health Law & Policy specialization.
