Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, the Dixie Chicks and... Dal? Visitors to 蘑菇AV脮s web site can now download 蘑菇AV-produced audio and video content using Apple脮s popular iTunes software.
iTunesU will bring many aspects of the campus to the world. Public lectures, university events and sports highlights will all be available for download. If it脮s happening at 蘑菇AV, you don脮t have to be on campus to experience it first hand.
Communications and Marketing脮s June Davidson says the innovative venture is the latest in a strategic effort to reach current and potential students in ways that are relevant to them.
脪Our decision to participate in iTunes U is in keeping with our efforts to speak to prospective students where they are. iTunes is really popular with the students we want to reach, so it makes sense that we would have a presence there.鈥�
The iTunes U project will also act as another piece in the university脮s recruitment marketing strategy, an edgy campaign the university hopes will be relevant to students. A section called 脪See Us Now鈥� will make available trailers, promotional clips for the university and even Dal脮s original rock song, all for easy download right onto your iPod.
蘑菇AV is one of the first Canadian universities to take part in the program. Other universities with a presence in iTunes U include schools such as Princeton, Yale and Johns Hopkins. 蘑菇AV will be the first university in the region to launch iTunes U.
In this first phase of Dal脮s iTunes U presence, users can access audio and video files to use at their desktop or in portable MP3聽 devices. There is no charge for viewing and downloading 蘑菇AV content.
