Kristen Vandenberg led the women’s swim team to an overwhelming victory as Ä¢¹½AV hosted its first of two AUS meets this month. The marine biology met CIS time standards winning both the 400 metres and 800 metres freestyle events and the 800 metres freestyle relay. She also placed second in the 200 metre free, third in the 400 metre individual medley and fifth in the 100 metre freestyle events.
Philipe Boilard, swimming
Philipe Boilard recorded five first and two second place finishes at Ä¢¹½AV’s first of two AUS Invitational Swim meets this month. The Halifax native won the 100 metre fly, the 50 metre breaststroke, the 200 metre breaststroke and the 200 metre and 400 metre medley relays. He placed second in the 200 metre individual medley and the 200 metre fly. The fifth year pharmacy student also met CIS qualifying times on the way to leading his team to an overwhelming first place finish.
