Dr. Bernie Boudreau, a Killam Professor Emeritus from Dal’s Faculty of Science, has been named as a Fellow for the American Geophysical Union (GSU).
The AGU is arguably the world’s largest association of Earth, atmospheric, ocean, hydrologic, space and planetary scientists, consisting of over 62,000 members from 144 countries. The Union’s activities are focused on the organization and dissemination of scientific information in the interdisciplinary and international fields within the Earth and space sciences.
Fellows of the AGU act as external experts, capable of advising government agencies and other organizations outside the sciences upon request. The program enhances the prestige of AGU and motivates members to achieve excellence in research.
