Congratulations to Logan Lawrence MSc (Kin) (Candidate) who received The Quest (John Ruedy Award) at the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation Annual Celebration Event on February 26, 2014.
The Quest Award is presented each year to the student researcher who demonstrates the greatest promise and potential for excellence in health research. Logan's research focuses on older Nova Scotians diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and how to improve our understanding of factors that influence their physical activity and health. He hopes that his findings will be used to plan programs that increase activity, health and quality of life in older adults with colorectal cancer living in Nova Scotia.
In addition to this recogntion, Logan will receive an annual award of $5,000 from Capital Health to further his research. Logan is supervised by Dr. Melanie Keats in the Division of Kinesiology, School of Health and Human Performance.
